Making a contract with us
When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to purchase goods. We will send you an email to confirm that your order has been accepted and a contract is made between us, subject to confirmation of payment and in accordance with our terms & conditions. In the event that we are no longer able to supply a particular product or there has been a change of price we will always contact you to advise you of this.
How to place an order
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our website and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart - ‘Add to Cart’. After you have finished your selection, click on ‘Checkout’ and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order then press the ‘Next’ button on bottom left which takes you to the page for the Postage charge. Please select the appropriate one and press ‘Next’. This takes you to the page where you could add notes to your order i.e. details of an engraved plate. Tick the box for confirming acceptance of the terms & conditions. Press ‘confirm order’ which then redirects you to the PAYPAL page for you to complete. You will then receive a confirmation from us for your order.
Please remember that all photographs are for illustration purposes only and may therefore vary very slightly from the product you receive. This is especially the case with the solid hardwood boards.
You can cancel your contract at any time up to 7 working days starting the day after the date of delivery. To do this please contact us using the email or postal address at the bottom of this page or telephone us. You do not have to give us any reason for cancellation. However, a brief explanation will help us improve the service we offer to customers in the future. If you cancel, you must return the goods to us at your own expense. We will refund the value of the products and the outbound delivery cost. Should customers wis to cancel an order, they are required by the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 to take reasonable care of the goods. Should an item be returned to us in a damaged condition we will seek to recover costs from the consumer which reflect the reduction in value of the item. This cancellation policy does not affect your legal rights.
Customers cannot cancel a order for items made to their own specifiction. This does not affect your legal rights if you have complaint about the goods; pleae see the faulty goods section below.
We accept payment via PAYPAL through the automated system on the website but we don’t have access to your card details. If you prefer, you can make payment by cheque although this could delay delivery of the goods until your cheque has cleared.

- The Standard Postage: £5.95
- The Standard Postage / Engraved Plate: £9.95. This charge covers standard postage + supplying and engraving a small plate for the veneer boards + the solid walnut boards.
- The bespoke boards, clocks and targes [shields] are subject to separate Postage costs.
Delivery & Shipping
Our veneer boards, magnetic combination boards, piano finish veneer boards and solid walnut boards are usually despatched within two working days provided they are in stock. The bespoke boards, clocks and targes [shields], because they take longer to produce and are made to customer specifications can take 14 days to produce depending upon the availability of the wood requested and of course weather conditions which could impact on the finishing process.
In the unlikely event that a customer has a complaint regarding goods which are:
- Damaged on receipt
- Delivered in error
- Not as described
- Faulty in that they are not of satisfactory quality
- Faulty in tha they are not fit for purpose
Then they shouldcontact us and we will seek to resolve the matter in accordance with your statutory and common law rights.

Changes to these terms
These terms apply to your order. These terms apply to consumer contracts only.We may however change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume the same terms will apply to future orders.
